Philosophy in the Wild
I co-founded a small, unincorporated philosophical organization called Philosophy in the Wild with Zachary Agoff and Mike Gadomski in 2020. Arthur Obst has since joined the team. We host annual outdoor philosophy conferences at campgrounds that are focused on environmental philosophy. The idea arose as we wondered how the environment in which philosophy happens influences the kinds of philosophy that gets done. We hoped for a less technologically mediated and more collaborative conference experience that gave philosophers a chance to form a closer-knit, if temporary, community. We also like camping!

We have collaborated with the Public Philosophy Journal to publish select papers presented at our conferences as part of the living Philosophy in the Wild collection.
